Do you feel alone with your thoughts? Are you screaming inside of you and in need to break free? What is it that is holding you back with moving forward with your life? Are you stuck at the crossroads?
I have seen more young women seeking help and guidance and more often using my therapy as a last option. Why? Because they are not really sure what it actually is and how it may help them move on. Breaking free of anything can often be done in such a short space of time in comparison to some other therapies. And that’s what they like about hypnotherapy.
After their FREE confidential consultation with me, they feel reassured about their own ability to follow my programme. Reassured they can come out the other side feeling differently about life and themselves. They begin to really believe in themselves and decide they have reached a point where nothing else matters but to feel well, positive and back in control of their lives.
So what is the magic? There is no wand or magic. The subconscious part of the mind is the answer. Our subconscious mind knows why, what, when and how something has affected us. It controls us and works automatically. It doesn’t understand time either. Something can quite often have happened many years previous but it doesn’t know this and therefore it stays hanging around. It certainly doesn’t have a sense of humour either.
“What is this Hypnotherapy then?”
Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to interact with the subconscious mind in an open-reflective process to create positive change in your life. There are many techniques and many styles and many applications of hypnotherapy.
Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxed focus. It is a natural state. In fact, each of us enters such a state – sometimes called a trance state –we all do it daily: once when we are falling asleep, and once when we are waking up. That kind of fuzzy, timeless state between dreaming and awake is a trance state. When a five minute snooze button seems to give you enough time to have an hour long dream, that’s a trance state.
There are many other times that people enter a natural state of trance. Driving, watching TV, listening to music, working on a favourite hobby or activity in the “flow” state. These are all “altered states of consciousness,” and all are various levels of trance. Trance is normal, natural and common.
Some people leave their first hypnotherapy session saying, “I wasn’t hypnotized – I knew what was going on the whole time!” Well of course they did! Hypnosis is not a state of amnesia or of no awareness. Just the opposite true, in fact: hypnosis is a state of heightened awareness and focus. This is the best place to begin the work.
