Look at any magazine on any given day, and you’ll see a headline about the latest ‘treatment’ that’s all the rage with the rich and famous. But while many of these treatments are not strictly proven to work, there’s one treatment celebrities have used that’s supported by countless studies which support its effectiveness. That treatment is hypnotherapy and it’s not just for the rich and famous.

There are different parts to the mind. There’s the conscious mind which actively makes decisions and deals with things that happen day to day. Then there’s the subconscious mind, which is always active in the background, storing memories, information, and learned behaviour so that we unconsciously do things and repeat patterns often without even realising. In a way, we are ‘programmed’ to do things the way we’ve always done them.

But this doesn’t mean that it always has to be this way and that you have no control over it. Hypnotherapy can reprogramme the subconscious mind using techniques like visualisation and positive affirmations to replace negative beliefs, thoughts, and behaviours with things that will serve you better. It will make you feel like you’re in control of your life again, and not at the mercy of whatever is driving your behaviour or bad habits. Eventually, the new thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours will replace the old ones, and the more positive behaviour becomes habit.
